Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat to appear at new Doctor Who Festival
Time Lords and Ladies, dust off your TARDIS – a Doctor Who festival has been announced.
Taking place in from Fri 13–Sun 15 November at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London, the event is a massive festival of Who-related events and activities for all ages.
Fans will be given a behind-the-scenes mosey at how the series is put together, including the chance to explore how the monsters are created, a look at the talent behind creating the Who universe and exclusive chances to check out costumes and props from the programme.
There are also theatre shows, with exclusive access to people who work on the show ready to discuss the non-stop glory of working on Doctor Who; a Fan Challenge quiz to decide once and for all who the biggest Who geek is; a Production Village where the production team and crew will talk about the ins and outs of their jobs, and a cosplay showcase, because what fan convention would be truly complete without your best 10th Doctor get-up?
Current Doctor, Peter Capaldi, who will be checking out the action, said: ‘If having the world's favourite Time Lord back on screen every week isn't enough for you (and it's not for me) then The Doctor Who Festival in London is the place to be. Prepare yourself for total Time Lord mania.’
There are two types of tickets available: standard (general day entry to the festival) or for serious Whovians there’s the TARDIS ticket which includes normal entry, plus brochure, lounge access, block front row theatre seats and a goody bag.
Tickets go on sale Fri 5 Jun at 10am.
