New to Amazon Prime UK and MUBI: June 2015

Bonkbuster Fifty Shades of Grey and controversial North Korea comedy The Interview lead June lineup

Satirical comedy The Interview starring James Franco and Seth Rogen comes to Amazon Prime Instant Video in June. It caused North Korea to issue an official statement against the USA with President Obama stepping in to support its release. If you’re a fan of the bromance between Franco and Rogen this offers more of the same, including a hilarious ongoing joke involving Katy Perry’s 'Firework'.

Also available is Tim Burton’s breakthrough film Beetlejuice. Winona Ryder stars as the ultimate goth, Lydia Deetz, who makes friends with a couple of friendly ghosts who previously lived in her house.

If you haven’t seen Greek New Wave director Yorgos Lanthimos’ critically acclaimed and bizarre film about parenting, Dogtooth, then you should watch it as soon as possible on MUBI who have added it as part of their Cannes season. Lanthimos' latest film, The Lobster is currently playing in Cannes (read our review).

It's also worth noting that bonkbuster Fifty Shades of Grey is making its Amazon Prime debut if you were just too embarrassed to see it at the cinema.
