Lineup announced for BBC Introducing at the Quay

SAY Award-nominated Honeyblood will headline

Honeyblood, Jonnie Common, Kobi Onyame, KLOË and more to play free festival

The BBC Introducing stage has become a regular sight on the UK festival circuit. Highlighting new and breaking bands and after the success of last year's event at the Commonwealth Games BBC Introducing is returning to an outdoor stage at Pacific Quay, Glasgow, Sunday 7 June, celebrating the best in Scottish music.

DJ Vic Galloway stated on his blog: 'The line-up is bursting with brilliance, with a collection of artists set for big things in the future. All the artists playing are from Scotland and have come through the BBC Introducing Uploader on my Radio Scotland show – spanning genres from indie, rock, electronica, hip hop, pop and acoustic song.'

The lineup includes female grunge duo Honeyblood; quirky acoustica from Jonnie Common; hip hop and R&B from Kobi Onyame; electro popster KLOË; anthemic rockers United Fruit; spaced out indie rock duo Man of Moon; singer-songwriter Sorren Maclean and synth/prog/pop/krautrock from Ubre Blanca.

Not only is this a great showcase of Scottish talent but it's completely free, no ticket required.

'Throughout the day there will also be DJs, talks and masterclasses,' added Galloway. 'I'll be hosting a Q&A with BBC Introducing success stories Twin Atlantic [please note this event is free but ticketed], and there will be a unique opportunity to take part in a songwriting workshop with homegrown hip hop heroes Hector Bizerk [wristbands for this event will be given out from noon via the box office on a first-come first-served basis].

'We will of course be recording the acts on the main stage for future broadcast and celebrating with highlights shows across BBC Introducing platforms on radio and online. It promises to be great day, showcasing some cutting-edge talent on home turf.'
