Comeback concerts sees the band bring The Magic Whip to Glasgow, Blackpool and London
Enjoying the number one seat of the UK album chart after a 12-year absence it's now time for Blur to reward their fans with a series of shows across the UK ahead of the Isle of Wight Festival and the British Summertime in Hyde Park.
Albarn, Coxon and co will kick-off at Glasgow's Barrowland 9 Jun, before heading to Blackpool 10 Jun (their first show ever in the city). Further dates include Llandudno (Wales) 11 Jun, Isle of Wight Festival 13 Jun, and Hyde Park 20/21 Jun.
The band's long-awaited reunion album, The Magic Whip, debuted with 43,476 copy sales and scored Blur their sixth straight number one album, pushing Taylor Swift's 1989 and James Bay's Chaos and the Calm to two and three in the process.
For bonus points, Blur have shared a 30-minute making-of documentary of their comeback work. 'The Magic Whip: Made in Hong Kong' offers an exclusive look of not only the recording sessions, but also of the band's adventures while travelling through Asia.
As if you need further encouragement to have keyboards at the ready when tickets go on sale, check out some of the footage below of Blur's dropping 'Song 2' at their first New York show in 15 years, at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
Tickets go on sale at 10am Fri 8 May, priced at £35,00 plus booking fee.
