'Never Say Never' hitmaker Justin Bieber has revealed he's joined the cast of 'Zoolander 2'

Justin Bieber has joined the star-studded cast of 'Zoolander 2'.

The 21-year-old singer has followed in the footsteps of several high-profile celebrities, including Penelope Cruz and Billy Zane, by filming a cameo for the much-anticipated comedy sequel directed by Justin Theroux.

Justin confirmed the news on his Instagram and Twitter feeds earlier today (29.04.15), posting a picture of himself alongside Ben Stiller, who is set to reprise the role of dimwitted male model Derek Zoolander.

Another star set to appear in the new film is hip-hop icon Kanye West and his wife, reality TV personality Kim Kardashian West.

Kanye's role in the film was reportedly agreed after his friend Will Ferrell suggested him for a part, while it's also been claimed Kanye requested his wife be given a cameo in the comedy movie.

A source said: "Kanye is friends with Will and appeared briefly in 'Anchorman 2' but he wanted to be in 'Zoolander 2' even more. It's very likely that Kim will also appear in some capacity."

Last week, Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton was pictured filming his cameo for the film, which is set for release in February 2016.

Derek Zoolander (Stiller) is living in the New Jersey woods as a 'hermit crab' after the collapse of his centre for 'kids who can't read good' and the death of his wife, but then he and former rival Hansel (Wilson) are drawn into a plot. Chaotic, scattershot, largely laugh-free sequel to the fondly-remembered 2001 original.
