Joss Whedon: Buffy gets more fan attention than Avengers
Joss Whedon has admitted that 'Buffy' still gets more fan attention than the 'Avengers' movies
Joss Whedon has revealed 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' still gets more fan attention than the 'Avengers'.
The 50-year-old film director has admitted the cult TV show commands more interest than the Marvel superheroes, who are played by the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., and Scarlett Johansson.
Joss said: "Buffy fans are a very intelligent, passionate and literate lot. It was very weird for me. I thought, 'We're going to make this show good but we won't tell anyone about the metaphor' and right away, everybody got it."
On the other hand, Joss revealed he enjoyed making 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' because it's "weird" and has a "messiness" about it.
He told Metro newspaper: "I'm very proud of everybody else who worked on ('Avengers') and that it's a weird movie. And we got to say some things that you don't normally get to say in a big summertime blockbuster. For all its messiness, it's all heart."
Last week, Joss suggested he might make a 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' movie at some stage in the future.
Asked if a Buffy movie will happen, Joss told BANG Showbiz: "Never rule anything out, but I haven't got anything planned at this stage."
