Amanda Seyfried shunned hard audition
Amanda Seyfried had planned to audition to play Cinderella in 'Into The Woods' but found it "so hard"
Amanda Seyfried didn't audition for 'Into the Woods' because it was "so hard".
The 29-year-old actress had been planning to go for the part of Cinderella - which subsequently went to Anna Kendrick - in the fairytale movie musical but eventually decided not to even try out for the part.
She admitted: "I was working on 'On the Steps of the Palace' with my voice coach.
"I remember one day I was singing it and I was like, 'No. I can't. I can't do it - I can't get it. This is so hard. I'm not auditioning for it.' "
While she didn't go for that role, the 'Les Miserables' star is dreaming of playing Glinda in a movie adaptation of Broadway show 'Wicked' - a musical based on the events before 'The Wizard of Oz' - which producer Marc Platt is planning for 2016.
She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "I might be too old when they make it. Or if they make it sooner than later, maybe I'm not the right person.
"I just still- I want it. I want to present myself and be a good candidate."
