Brian Wilson announces 2015 UK tour

Brian Wilson has announced that he is to play a UK arena tour this September.

The legendary singer-songwriter and former leader of 60s surf-poppers The Beach Boys will bring the sound of California to British shores on an eight-gig tour that takes in arenas across the country. Accompanying him will be fellow Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, while support will be provided by classic rockers America. Best known for their US number one single 'A Horse with No Name', America will mark their 45th anniversary together on the tour.

The bill is completed by Edwyn Collins, one of indie's pioneers and founding member of punk-pop favourites Orange Juice. Collins went on to have a successful solo career, including the global hit 'A Girl Like You', and was recognised in 2009 with an Ivor Novello Inspiration Award.

Wilson will be playing songs spanning his career, from Beach Boys hits to tunes from his 11 solo albums, including his latest No Pier Pressure, which is released on 6 Apr. No Pier Pressure features collaborations from fellow Beach Boys, Fun's Nate Reuss and Zooey Deschanel.

Tickets go on sale Fri 27 Mar, priced £50.40–£72.80
