'The Voices' star Gemma Arterton has revealed that she didn't enjoy making any of the blockbuster films she's appeared in.
Gemma Arterton didn't enjoy making any of the blockbuster films she's starred in.
The 29-year-old beauty, who appeared as Strawberry Fields in the 2008 James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' and the 2010 movie 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time', says appearing in big budget productions helped boost her profile, but ultimately left her feeling unfulfilled.
The actress - who stars in the new black comedy 'The Voices' - told Digital Spy: "I think if the right blockbuster came up, I'd do it [now], but I didn't really enjoy any of the blockbusters that I made!
"I can say that now that they've happened, and I'm grateful for the various things that they've brought into my life, but it's not the work that I enjoy doing."
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds - Gemma's on-screen co-star in 'The Voices' - recently said he was as nervous singing in his new film as he would be if he was going for a "very aggressive prostate exam".
The 38-year-old actor - who is married to actress Blake Lively, with whom he has a baby daughter - plays fictional serial killer Jerry Hickfang in the film and when he was told by director Marjane Satrapi he would have to display his vocal skills he broke into a cold sweat.
He recalled: "Marjane would laugh at me with her weird expression, saying I looked like 'cold yoghurt' as I walked in to record my part.
"I had a flop sweat, I was desperately pale - it looked like I was going in for a very aggressive prostate exam."
