Bloc Party recording new album
Listen to Bloc Party's new music as the band announce they are working on a fifth album
Bloc Party have confirmed that they are recording a new album.
Speaking to Australian radio show, Triple J, frontman Kele Okereke confirmed that, following a hiatus that began in 2012 after their fourth album Four, the group are 'at the writing and recording phase.'
The new album coincides with the tenth anniversary of Bloc Party's debut album, Silent Alarm, but there will be no anniversary tour, with Okereke branding those 'cynical and cringey'. The post punk politicists are instead focussing on developing their sound and moving forward.
Since the band's last album, Okereke has released a 2014 solo album called Trick.
