Kanye West is set to star in the 'Zoolander' sequel.

The rapper-and-designer will reportedly appear in the fashion spoof, which will see Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson return as models Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald, after his friend Will Ferrell suggested him for a part.

And Kanye is also requesting that his wife Kim Kardashian West be given a cameo or small part in the comedy movie.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kanye is friends with Will and appeared briefly in 'Anchorman 2' but he wanted to be in 'Zoolander 2' even more. It's very likely that Kim will also appear in some capacity."

Kanye and Kim are set to be in good company if they both feature in the film as Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Billy Zane and Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie Kloss are all going to be in the sequel.

Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Alessandra Ambrosio are also rumoured for cameos.

The movie - which will come 15 years after its predecessor - is being directed by Stiller and has been written by Jennifer Aniston's fiancé Justin Theroux and is due to hit cinemas in February 2016.

Derek Zoolander (Stiller) is living in the New Jersey woods as a 'hermit crab' after the collapse of his centre for 'kids who can't read good' and the death of his wife, but then he and former rival Hansel (Wilson) are drawn into a plot. Chaotic, scattershot, largely laugh-free sequel to the fondly-remembered 2001 original.
