Steamy scenes in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' - which stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, have been censored in Vietnam

The sex scenes in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' have all been censored by cinemas in Vietnam.

The movie - which is based on the erotic novel by author E.L. James - features lots of steamy footage, but this has all been censored by officials in the south-east Asian country, which is steeped in Confucian traditions.

Around 20 minutes of footage from the film - which stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson - has been edited out because it was considered to be potentially sensitive.

Already, the film has been banned in a number of different locations around the world, including India, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Last week, meanwhile, it was revealed Dakota Johnson wore "a patch" over her pubic area while filming 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.

The 25-year-old actress, who starred as Anastasia Steele in the movie, appeared to have excessive pubic hair in one particular scene - but cinematographer Seamus McGarvey admitted it was fake.

He said: "[She] had kind of a patch that went over her pubic area, and right round her whole body."

What's more, it was revealed that some of the most eye-catching scenes were created in the editing suite.

The cinematographer explained: "We were in the curious situation, in post-production, of adding [pubic hair].

"I wouldn't say it was one of the highlights of my career, but it certainly was one of the most surreal scenarios."
