Spring music festival
Organisers of Dunfermline’s own mini-festival Tigerfest have announced that Idlewild are among the headliners for their month-long series of shows in May this year.
Around 20 bands will play in venues across Dunfermline between 2 and 30 May.
Idlewild’s first show since their Edinburgh Hogmanay appearance will be at Carnegie Hall with Foxface and The Scottish Enlightenment on 18 May while Teenage Fanclub’s Norman Blake plays a solo show with a string quartet at the same venue on 16 May.
Paul Haig and Twilight Sad will headline gigs at the hall on the 18 May and 15 May respectively.
There is also a focus on some of Fife’s best new talent with the showcase gigs at Monty’s and Tower House, which will feature the likes of Yoshi, The Manicdotes and Ives.
Tickets are now available from Carnegie Hall on 01383 602302. For a full line-up see www.myspace.com/dunfermlinetigerfest.
