T in the Park announces 2015 lineup

Sam Smith (pictured), David Guetta and Kasabian headline Friday night

Sam Smith, Kasabian and The Prodigy join The Libertines for the festival's first year at Strathallan Castle

The line-up for this year's T in the Park has been announced. Kasabian, David Guetta and Sam Smith are Friday night's headliners; Saturday night sees Avicii, the Libertines and the Script topping the bill, and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Prodigy and Stereophonics take on Sunday.

The safe line-up doesn't spring any big surprises, opting instead for solid, dependable festival acts. Throughout the weekend, the headliners will be complemented by the likes of Rudimental, Fatboy Slim, Hozier, Twin Atlantic, Alt-J, George Ezra, Jamie T and Paloma Faith, while Idlewild, Seasick Steve, Clean Bandit, Hot Chip and Modest Mouse provide more splashes of colour to the weekend.

Saturday night will be Avicii's debut appearance at the festival, while Noel Gallagher is the only person able to boast having played at all three of the festival's venues.
