Bobby Beale revealed as EastEnders' killer
Bobby Beale has been revealed as the killer of his half-sister Lucy Beale after it became clear he smashed her over the head with her jewellery box last year
EastEnders' 'who killed Lucy Beale?' storyline took a shocking twist last night (19.02.15) as it was revealed her half-brother Bobby brutally murdered her last year.
Fans of the BBC One soap were left on the edge of their seats until the very end of the semi-live double episode when it became apparent the 11 year old had smashed the businesswoman - played by Hetti Bywater - over the head with her jewellery box.
The shocking revelation came after viewers already thought they'd cracked the killer in the earlier episode when Lucy's father Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) accused his new wife and her step-mother Jane (Laurie Brett) of taking the blonde beauty's life.
However, in the later flashback episode, which showed Lucy's entire journey on the night she died along with all of the possible suspects, it eventually became clear that her little sibling had ended her life following a row at their home in Albert Square.
Viewers saw Jane receive a disturbing phonecall from a mysterious someone and she then rushed over to the property to discover Lucy dead on the floor and Bobby clutching the solid wood jewellery box in his hand.
He said to Jane, who adopted him a few years ago, with an evil look in his eye: "Whatever she says, she started it. She made everyone unhappy."
Meanwhile, EastEnders' 30th anniversary celebrations, which kicked off on Monday (16.02.15), will continue tonight (20.02.15) with a 30-minute fully live episode when the residents of Walford are set to learn the truth about the brutal death of Lucy.
