Michelle Gomez makes Doctor Who return
Michelle Gomez will be reprising her role as Missy in the new series of 'Doctor Who'.
Michelle Gomez is returning to 'Doctor Who'.
The 48-year-old actress will reprise her role as Missy, the female incarnation of the Doctor's arch-nemesis, Master and has already joined the cast in Cardiff, Wales ahead of the new series.
She said: "Things have been a little beige since I left Missy behind, so I'm delighted to be putting my Lippie back on.
"I'm positively dying to see the Doctor again!"
She joins Peter Capaldi - who plays The Doctor - and Clara Oswald, played by Jenna Coleman, for the first episode of the new series.
Steven Moffat, the BBC One show's lead writer and Executive Producer promises Michelle's character will be be back to "plague" the Doctor and his companion.
He said: "Everybody hide - Michelle Gomez as Missy was an instant hit last year, so she's straight back to plague the Doctor and Clara in the series opener. But what brings her back into their lives is the last thing they'd expect."
Guests confirmed for the new series include Jemma Redgrave, Kelly Hunter, Clare Higgins and Jaye Griffiths.
Other stars appearing in the new series includes Daniel Hoffmann-Gill, Jami Reid-Quarrell and Aaron Neil as well as India Ria Amarteifio, Joey Price, Dasharn Anderson, Harki Bhambra and Demi Papaminas.
'Doctor Who' will return to screens in the Autumn.
