Simon Cowell has vowed to "rescue some kittens" if his fans vote for him to win a National Television Award.

Simon Cowell will "rescue some kittens" if he wins a National Television Award.

The 55-year-old star is up for the Best TV Judge prize at the awards show, which takes place at The O2 in London on Wednesday night (21.01.15) with all winners voted by the public.

His shows 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'The X Factor' will also battle against each other and 'The Voice' and 'Strictly Come Dancing' in the Best Talent Show category, and he has promised to help some unfortunate animals if his fans earn him a trophy.

Simon posted on Twitter: "You know winning isn't important to me but if I do win I will rescue some kittens."

He then wrote a series of tweets on behalf of his pet Yorkshire Terrier dogs Squiddly and Diddly, saying: "We are scared Britains Got Talent and the X Factor don't win at the @OfficialNTAs ... Please vote for my daddy Simon at the @OfficialNTAs (sic)"

In the Best TV Judge category Simon is up against his colleagues, 'BGT' panellist David Walliams and 'X Factor' co-star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and 'The Great British Bake Off' judge Mary Berry.

You can still vote for your NTA winners at and voting closes at midday tomorrow.
