Alexander O'Neal leaves Celebrity Big Brother
Musician Alexander O'Neal has opted to leave the 'Celebrity Big Brother' House, show bosses have confirmed
Alexander O'Neal has chosen to leave the 'Celebrity Big Brother' House.
The 61-year-old singer's decision to leave the Channel 5 show prematurely follows a formal warning from producers for using a homophobic insult to describe celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
The incident in the kitchen saw Perez blow kisses in the direction of the singer before following him into the lounge.
Alexander responded by saying: "I know what you want but you're not going to get it ... you're going to sit there with that silly ass f****t look on your face."
At that stage, Alexander's fellow housemates intervened, stopping him from making any further insulting remarks.
Alexander was then called into the diary room and given a formal warning by show bosses for unacceptable language.
The singer - whose hits include 'If You Were Here Tonight' and 'Criticize' - confessed he felt uncomfortable in the house, but apologised for his behaviour.
Alexander is the third housemate to leave the show under a cloud, following the departures of Jeremy Jackson and Ken Morley.
'Baywatch' actor Jeremy, 34, was axed after allegedly behaving inappropriately towards Chloe Goodman in the bathroom.
Meanwhile, former 'Coronation Street' star Ken was removed for using unacceptable language.
