Phillip Schofield: My daughters keep me 'current'
Phillip Schofield has confessed he has his daughters Ruby and Molly to thank for keeping him up-to-date with modern music.
Phillip Schofield admits his daughters keep him up-to-date with the latest trends.
The 52-year-old presenter has confessed if it weren't for he and wife Stephanie Lowe's two daughters Molly and Ruby he wouldn't have a clue about modern music.
He shared: "I'm very proud of the fact that my daughters keep me very current. Both of them have great taste in music and play stuff that I maybe haven't heard before.
"I was driving Ruby back to uni [university] and she said, 'You've got to listen to this'. Ruby and her mates discovered it just before it broke - Megan Trainor's 'All About That Bass'.
"As we listened to it ... I can remember I said, oh my God, this is incredible. And I thank Ruby for introducing me to that, way before anybody else!"
The 'This Morning' host also revealed how Coldplay frontman Chris Martin shouted out to him during their set at a concert in Germany.
Speaking to Magic Radio's Christine Bleakley, Phillip explained: "Chris Martin said, 'Ladies and gentlemen, I know we're in Zurich, there's a guy here tonight, you don't know him because he's British, but we know he's watching. So, Phillip Schofield, this one's for you'. And they played 'Yellow' and I'm looking at the girls and Steph, my wife, going, 'What did he just say? What did he just say?' That was one of those brilliant moments."
