Ricky Wilson stays in touch with The Voice contestants
Ricky Wilson claims he still keeps in touch with his contestants from the last series of 'The Voice' and insists they're still committed to their music careers
Ricky Wilson stays in touch with his 'The Voice' contestants.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman claims he's kept in contact with his former team members from his first series on the BBC One singing competition last year and insists they're all doing great, despite not being crowned winner.
He told BANG Showbiz at 'The Voice' series four launch at the Mondrian London hotel: "I'm in touch with all of the people who were on my team last year and I think they're all having a better time than they were before they went on the show and I think that's a testament to the show."
The 36-year-old rocker - who is joined by Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and new addition Rita Ora on the judging panel - also insists 'The Voice' does more for aspiring singers than other talent shows, such as 'The X Factor'.
Ricky explained: "We might not be churning out superstars to fill the gap until the next series but I think that's a good thing. I think over the next few years you'll start seeing people brining out records and having hits and you'll go, 'Where have I seen them before?' "
'The Voice' series four begins on Saturday January 10 at 7pm on BBC One.
