Davina McCall to be next Nigella Lawson
Davina McCall is being eyed up by TV bosses to become the next big celebrity chef to replace Nigella Lawson after releasing her own cook book
Davina McCall could become the next Nigella Lawson.
The 'Million Pound Drop' host is reportedly being eyed up by TV bosses to become the next big celebrity chef following the release of her first cookbook this week.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cooking's huge on TV. A fresh face is badly needed and Davina could become the new queen of the kitchen."
Nigella - who has had a number of popular cookbooks and TV shows - recently relaunched her career in the US after divorcing husband Charles Saatchi last year and Davina could now be set to replace her on British screens.
The 47-year-old presenter recently introduced a healthy eating regime for her family and documented it in new book '5 Weeks To Sugar-Free'.
And, although she claims the effects of the diet have massively increased her confidence, she admits she still allows her children - Chester, Holly and Tilly - to have the occasional sweet treat, but didn't reveal whether she lets husband Matthew Robertson have any days off.
She said: "I'm not a complete militant: the children aren't entirely sugar free.
"Otherwise I know they would sneak off to friends' houses and go crazy."
