Labrinth loves Come Dine With Me

Labrinth has revealed Channel 4 cookery competition 'Come Dine With Me' is his guilty pleasure but would never appear on it because he's such an awful chef.

Labrinth loves watching 'Come Dine With Me'.

The 'Let It Be' hitmaker has declared his love for the Channel 4 reality show - which sees amateur chefs hosting dinner parties in an attempt to win a cash prize - admitting it is his "guilty pleasure".

Speaking at the BBC Music Awards in London last night (11.12.14), he said: "We drove over watching 'Come Dine With Me' because this guy had a TV in his car. That show man, I don't know why, it's a guilty pleasure. I just have to watch it."

However, the musician - who performed a duet with 'Ghost' singer Ella Henderson at the televised event - said he thinks the show is awful, but can't stop watching it because he finds the programme's narrator, Dave Lamb, hilarious.

He continued: "But it's really bad, it's trash TV but I love it. I think if they didn't have that commentator though I wouldn't watch it. He's the best."

Despite finding the cookery programme entertaining, he vowed never to appear on it himself because he is a terrible chef.

When asked if he would like to compete on the celebrity version, he joked: "Nah. With my cooking I'd probably kill everyone, just burning down the house."

Timothy McKenzie aka Labrinth is one of the few acts in recent years to have been signed by Simon Cowell without first appearing on a TV talent show.
