Cheryl Fernandez-Versini backs Fleur East
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has backed Fleur East to win 'The X Factor' in this weekend's final as she can "sing, dance" and "rap".
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is backing Fleur East to win 'The X Factor'.
The 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer saw her final act sent home last week and while she insists a "case can be made" for all three finalists - Fleur, Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini - she sees the 26-year-old wannabe as the whole package.
Speaking at a Q&A with the judges and finalists at London's Wembley Arena yesterday (11.12.14), she said: "I don't think we've ever had, at least while I've been on the show, someone who can do everything ... As in sing, dance, rap, the whole shenanigans."
The 31-year-old star was also keen to find out how Fleur and Ben's mentor, 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell, is planning to divide his attention "fairly" between his two contestant's during this weekend's final.
After the 55-year-old music mogul insisted he was more than capable of working with more than one artist at the same time, Cheryl pushed for an answer to her question.
He responded saying: "We've done it this week. We've gone through all the songs. Last night I was still making changes to the mixes and will continue to do so today."
Simon added: "At the weekend, my job is over and hopefully I'll have done everything I can do to prepare both of you [glances at Ben and Fleur]."
Meanwhile, Andrea could be left to fend for himself this weekend as his mentor Mel B was too "unwell" to attend rehearsals yesterday and is said to have been struck down by a mystery illness.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Poor Andrea is feeling abandoned ... But Mel can't help it. She is so poorly and may have to miss the final altogether."
