Gina Carano has been cast in the 'Kickboxer' remake.

The 32-year-old former mixed martial artist is to play a fight promoter in the new film, which will also feature Jean-Claude Van Damme, wrestler Dave Bautista and Georges St. Pierre, who starred in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'.

In the eagerly-awaited new film, Jean-Claude, 54, will play the part of a martial arts mentor, while Kurt Sloane assumes the leading mantle, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kurt's on-screen character is a talented fighter, who travels to Thailand in order to develop his kickboxing mostly so he can confront Tong Po - the man who killed his brother - who is played by Bautista.

Jean-Claude stars as Master Chow, who passes on his knowledge of kickboxing to Kurt's character.

The 'Kickboxer' remake sees Gina reunite with director John Stockwell, who was responsible for 'In The Blood', the action film that also featured Puerto Rican actor Luis Guzmán.

And before the 'Kickboxer' film hits cinema screens, Gina can be seen in 'Bus 657', the heist thriller that also stars Bautista, as well as Hollywood legend Robert De Niro.
