Gemma Collins called the police after her boyfriend assaulted her.
The 33-year-old television personality contacted the police after her boyfriend Alexander Moss allegedly "beat her up" at her home in Brentwood, Essex on Saturday evening (08.11.14).
A source close to Gemma - who is rumoured to be appearing in 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' later this month - revealed that the star had been physically attacked and her home had been ruined during the incident.
The insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Gemma was gearing up to fly to the jungle when the incident happened. She was preparing to go to the jungle as a single girl. But she had an argument with Alex and he flew off the handle.
"She is not in a good way and has been badly hurt and her house has been smashed up. The police were called.
"Gemma has known Alex for a long time, they are very close but she is deeply hurt and distressed."
According to the newspaper, a spokesman for the Essex police confirmed that an incident had taken place.
A statement said: "Officers went to the location and the victim was assessed by ambulance paramedics but did not need hospital treatment."
Moss has been in trouble with the police before, and he was jailed in 2012 for conspiracy to supply cocaine.
Gemma - who first met Moss while she was in the 20s - reportedly thought he was a changed man since being in prison.
The source said: "Gemma had given Alex a second chance and he had convinced her he was a reformed character - she really believed that he had changed."
