Justin Timberlake's home run
Justin Timberlake is to star in a new baseball movie.
The 27-year-old star is eager to get advice from some real-life sports stars for his role as fictional minor league player Carlton Garrett in upcoming film 'The Open Road'.
J.J. Gottsch, President of the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Texas-based team featured in the movie, said: "Justin is portraying a Hooks player and he wants to show what it is like playing for a minor league baseball team. He wanted to meet with our players but our schedules didn't fit.
"We're hoping some of our guys can consult with him soon though."
The film will follow Justin's character Carlton Garrett as he embarks on a road trip with his estranged father, a baseball legend played by Jeff Bridges, in a bid to return home to see his sick mother.
In recent years Justin has starred in 'Alpha Dog', 'Southland Tales' and 'Black Snake Moan'.
Last year he voiced the character of Artie in animated hit 'Shrek the Third'.
