Top five Edinburgh club nights Christmas 2014

Dave Clarke

Juice
The trap and dubstep night reaches its second birthday and rather fittingly hosts two parties to celebrate. Expect beeps and bleeps from Martyn at Part 1 followed by Bok Bok going head to head and back to back with Tom Trago for Part 2.

Sneaky Pete's, Thu 4, 11 Dec.

Vegas!
The festive season kicks off with an old stalwart. Big band, swing, jive, showgirls, cocktails and Christmas seem like the perfect combination as Frankie Sumatra, Bugsy Seagull, Sam Jose and Nuno Endo once again take charge at Edinburgh's favourite retro club night.

Voodoo Rooms, Sat 6 Dec.

Xplicit
Expect liquid funk and fidgety drum & bass kicks as Xplicit collaborate with Nightvision to take over La Belle. Taking a break from running his own Signature Records, Irish DJ / producer Calibre nabs the headline spot while the full Xplicit crew are out in support.

La Belle Angele, Fri 12 Dec.

Musika
It's a busy weekend for Nightvision as they follow Xplicit by teaming up with Musika. Glasgow's king of bass and beats is joined by Heidi, Canada's queen of new house, alongside rising star Jasper James.

Liquid Room, Sat 13 Dec.

Jackhammer
Nestling neatly in-between Christmas and Hogmanay, techno night Jackhammer hit their 13th birthday. Unlucky for some but not for Edinburgh club heads as the evil genius that is Dave Clarke headlines, mashing up dark techno with a punk attitude alongside Gary Beck.

Liquid Room, Sat 27 Dec.

Nightvision

The electronic music night created in 2014 by house and techno heavyweights Musika together with bass titans Xplicit returns for a fifth series.

VEGAS!

Hipster swing, jump jive, rockin' R&B, dancefloor jazz, sleazy listening and gangster grooves at the multiple award-winning, multi-genre club night for movers, groovers, hipsters, flipsters, guys and dolls.

Xplicit

Drum & bass, dubstep and other bassy beats.

jackhammer

Techno night with residents Wolfjazz and Keyte and some big names guesting.

Juice

Trap, dubstep and grime from Floating Boy and Dan Juice.
