Kate Bush won't be performing live again "for a while".
The 'Running Up that Hill' hitmaker concluded her run of 22 sold-out shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Wednesday (01.10.14) - her first gigs in 35 years - and told fans not to expect to see her again soon.
She told the audience: "We're all really sad as it's the last night. I'm going to miss everyone so much.
"This is our last night... for a while anyway".
The reclusive singer went on to thank the musicians and performers in the show, including her son Bertie McIntosh, who she branded "wonderful" and Charlotte Williams, who played a wooden puppet that comes to life and was described as "our secret weapon" by the star.
In the audience for the final show was a string of famous faces, including singer Grace Jones, Pink Floyd rocker Dave Gilmour, comic Noel Fielding and TV presenter Graham Norton.
The 'Wuthering Heights' hitmaker sold a total of 78,000 tickets for the gigs, which began on August 26.
The concerts all sold out within 15 minutes of tickets going on sale.
