Queen have teamed up with US singer Adam Lambert for their biggest UK tour to date.

Queen have announced a UK with Adam Lambert.

The 'Bohemian Rhapsody' rockers and the 'For Your Entertainment' hitmaker will perform at seven venues across the country - including a date at London's famous O2 Arena - in what has been describe by guitarist Brain May as their biggest and most daring production yet.

He said: "It's big and daring. We're going to do it to the max."

Adam, 32 - who also joined the legendary band on their North American tour earlier this year - added: "On the technical side, it's definitely more of a production than two years ago. We've had a lot more cities to visit and so I think we all decided to build up the visuals and the stage accordingly, and of course we do all the hits."

Adam and Brian will once again be joined by drummer Roger Taylor for the six-week long European tour, which begins in January 2015.

The group - who have as well as North America, have already taken their tour through Australia and New Zealand - first teamed up in 2009 when they performed 'We Are the Champions' on the finale of season eight of 'American Idol'.

Speaking about working with Adam, Roger said: "Each time we've worked with Adam with our music, he's just the most incredible front man. He's sensational.

"He has this amazing range, 'cause Freddie [Mercury; lead singer of Queen] had a great range. Adam can really cover it.

"He's an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality. It is very comfortable."

The tour will begin in Newcastle on January 13 and visit arenas in Glasgow, London and Manchester, before heading over to the continent for a further 14 dates, ending at Zurich's Hallenstadion.

Tickets for the UK shows will go on sale this Friday (03.10.14).
