Manic Street Preachers have confirmed dates for a winter tour which will see them perform 'The Holy Bible' in full

Manic Street Preachers will perform 'The Holy Bible' in full in December.

The 'Faster' rockers have confirmed plans to play all of their iconic 1994 record - which they were still promoting when rhythm guitarist and lyricist Richey Edwards went missing in February 1995 - for their first time at a number of live shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and London.

The tour begins at Glasgow Barrowlands on 8 December and then moves to two nights at Manchester Albert Hall on 10 and 11 December, Dublin's Olympia Theatre on 13 December and culminating in three nights at London's Roundhouse on 15-17 December, almost 20 years after Richey's final appearances with the band.

The trio - singer James Dean Bradfield, bassist Nicky Wire and drummer Sean Moore - have hinted for several months that they were planning to mark the record's anniversary with special live shows.

Nicky said recently: "It's been a road test all year. That album was always about something more, so we've got to get that in our psyche. This is the first year that we've played those songs and felt comfortable, we've been doing six or seven. If there's ever a time to do it, then it's now."

Tickets for the gigs go on sale on Friday (26.09.14) at 9am.
