Robert Plant envies musical relationships
`Robert Plant is a "whizz bang guy" and envies musicians who can make their relationships last
Robert Plant "admires" musicians who can maintain relationships.
The 66-year-old rocker - who has three children with ex-wife Maureen, who he divorced in 1983, and another son with his former spouse's sister - admits he is a "whizz-bang guy" and makes impulsive decisions for his career, while his controlling nature can "alienate" people.
He said: "I've lived on my own so much that I always like to know where everything is on my planet. I do alienate people at times because I can be a bit of a control freak...
"It's a miracle if I can stay with something for a long time because I'm a whizz-bang guy.
"If I had a friend and I'd promised to go somewhere [with them] and I suddenly found I had to go to Morocco to sing, it wouldn't augur well for keeping the relationship going! I admire my friends who have kept things going."
The Led Zeppelin frontman has just realised a new solo album, 'Lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar', to critical acclaim but admits he still "peeps" at the idea he won't make music forever.
Asked if he thinks of a time when his career comes to an end, he told The Sun newspaper: "No I don't but I peep at it.
"I don't look it straight in the face. Even with this collection of songs and its beautiful delivery, I hide my face from its glow."
