Jim Rosenthal wants to play a wrestler in 'Plebs'.
The 66-year-old sports presenter makes his debut in the ITV2 sitcom in a short stint as a chariot racing commentator next week, but his son Tom Rosenthal, who portrays Marcus in the show, admits his father won't stop asking producers Tom Basden and Sam Leifer for bigger parts.
Speaking at the launch of 'Plebs', he told BANG Showbiz: "He has not stopped bothering me. Every sentence begins with, 'Have you got me a part in Plebs yet?' And he still wants more. He's not happy with this. Any kind of sport, any wrestling scene.
"Honestly, after he's a had a few drinks, he will just go up and talk to Sam and Tom and just start talking about how he can get back on the show."
Tom, 26, admits his father would fit in on the programme if he managed to land a bigger role as he is just as much a practical joker as the rest of the cast.
He added: "My mum hates me telling this story. I've got a really strong story of dad, we were on holiday and he was naked, and he came up to my face and he farted in it.
"And I, being a bit of ham, really acted it up. Like went to the toilet and pretended to be sick."
The third series of 'Plebs' returns to ITV2 on Monday September 22 at 10pm.
