Kate Bush's record sales have increased by 2813 percent.

The 56-year-old singer - who has returned to the music scene for the first time in 35 years with a 22 night stint at London's Hammersmith Apollo - has seen a significant rise in her previous album sales since the opening of her 'Before The Dawn' tour on Tuesday 22 August.

Following the buzz surrounding the sold out London gigs - which saw 80,000 tickets fly off the shelves in just 15 minutes - fans have rushed online to revisit the singer's catalogue of past hits.

According to Amazon.co.uk, sales of Kate's 1986 offering 'The Whole Story' have risen by 1743 percent, while '50 Words of Snow' has increased by 3314 percent.

By far the biggest uplift has been seen in her 'Hounds of Love' and 'The Red Shoes' albums, of which sales have increased by 5000 percent and 8000 percent respectively.

Because of the vast increase Kate has become the first woman in music history to have eight albums in the top 40 chart simultaneously.
