Jenna Coleman teases 'surprise' in 'Doctor Who'
Jenna Coleman has teased a major storyline in BBC science fiction drama 'Doctor Who' which she promises will 'surprise' fans. The 28-year-old said that the twist will be the deciding factor on whether her character will return to the show for the Christmas Special.
Jenna Coleman has hinted she could be set to leave 'Doctor Who'.
The 28-year-old actress stars at the titular Time Lord's companion Clara Oswald in the BBC One sci-fi drama and although she's only just completed her first series alongside new Doctor Peter Capaldi, she's suggested her future on the show is uncertain.
When asked if she will be reprising her character in the next series, she told Radio Times magazine: "There's lots of rumours. We've sat down with [showrunner] Steven Moffat and we've all decided we don't want anybody to know which way it's going."
The brunette beauty insisted she couldn't possibly let slip whether or not she is set to return, as it would ruin the current series for viewers.
She said: "If you know I'm in the next series - or if you know I'm off - you'll know how the story ends."
The former 'Emmerdale' also admitted she hopes the show's cast will keep quiet about the upcoming major storyline so that it will be more exciting for viewers.
She added: "Because there's a surprise we've got coming, it's much better that nobody knows which way it's going to go -so that's where we're trying to keep it at the moment."
