Samuel Anderson wants his own Doctor Who toy
Samuel Anderson wants an action figure of his 'Doctor Who' character Danny Pink to be made so he can match it up against wrestling toys.
New 'Doctor Who' star Samuel Anderson wants his own action figure so he can fight wrestling toys with it.
The actor has joined the cast of the BBC One sci-fi series as teacher Danny Pink and he admits he is desperate to get a mini plastic version of himself to fulfil his dream of battling WWE legends Hulk Hogan and the late Ultimate Warrior.
Speaking at the launch party for new video game 'Destiny' at OXO2 in London on Monday night (08.09.14), he told BANG Showbiz: "I would retire a happy man if I have an action figure! I'd get a wrestling ring with a Hulk Hogan figure and an Ultimate Warrior one and I will win every time!"
Although little is currently known about Samuel's character Danny, he is set to have an important role in the show.
The actor hopes fans like him, saying: "If what I do makes kids smile then happy days."
Samuel says Jenna-Louise Coleman - who plays companion and Danny's love interest Clara Oswald in the programme - was very welcoming to him when he first stepped on set with her and Peter Capaldi, who plays the Doctor, for the first time.
However, he is remaining tight-lipped on what's in store for their characters because he'd get in too much trouble if he spilled.
Samuel - who previously appeared in 'Emmerdale' with Jenna - said: "Jenna's been great to me and obviously I worked with her before. I could tell you what happens between us but I'd have to kill you! But the story's good."
Samuel was among a host of celebrities who attended the 'Destiny' party. Other stars who tried out the ground-breaking shooting game - which is out now - included Professor Green, Tinie Tempah and Conor Maynard.
