Judy Finnigan didn't plan to join Loose Women
Judy Finnigan has confessed she never planned to join the panel of 'Loose Women' but decided to sign the deal because she thought it'd be "fun"
Judy Finnigan never planned to join 'Loose Women'.
The former 'This Morning' host previously vowed that she would never return to broadcasting after her and husband Richard Madeley's talk show 'Richard & Judy' was axed but she is now set to be one of four new faces joining the ITV panel show and she's confessed she made the decision because she thought it'd be fun.
Speaking to hosts Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street Porter and fellow new face Gloria Hunniford via video chat on today's (08.09.14) 'Loose Women' she said: "It's really odd, I hadn't planned it or thought. It was pure impulse. I had a really lovely summer and I was relaxed and happy and I've nearly finished my second book and I seriously thought, 'That sounds quite fun, I'd like to do that' ... And I'd like to talk to you lot."
Also joining Judy and other regular contributors including Andrea McLean for the new series, which kicked off today (08.09.14), will be Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster and former 'X Factor' judge Sharon Osbourne.
When asked how she was feeling about her first day on the show, Gloria said: "I am excited. It's so lovely to be here with the girls, I'm really happy."
Meanwhile, veteran Ruth commented on the new look of the set, saying: "We can see our audience, we can see the whites of their eyes. It's really lovely to have you so close, welcome."
Coleen added: "It's nice, it's a bit posh. I've had to wear a dress and everything."
