Television personality, Alison Hammond has revealed that she is doing 'Strictly Come Dancing' for the "curvy girls"
Alison Hammond will represent "curvy girls" on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The bubbly television personality has admitted that she is happy to be the poster woman for larger figured ladies as she prepares for her dancing debut on the BBC One show.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the 'Strictly Come Dancing' press launch on Tuesday (02.09.14), Alison explained: " I'm waving the flag for all of them. The curvy girls, fat girls, obese girls, I'm waving it for the lot of them.
"I do believe anyone can do anything. It doesn't matter what colour you are, what size you are, if you want to do something, then do it."
Alison - who first found fame on the third series of 'Big Brother' in 2002 - also revealed that she won't be bothered by the judges comments because frequent insults from trolls on social media have toughened her up.
She shared: "You know what, I've got Twitter so I'm kind of used to things like that. You've just got to deal with it haven't you. Kind of love the haters, it drives me to do better."
The 'This Morning' presenter did joke that she will need a muscular dance partner, though, and hinted that she had four in mind.
She laughed: "I need somebody with a strong back. Because obviously I'm quite heavy and they need to lift me over their head so it's going to be somebody with a really ... I might need four dancers. I've got four in mind."
