James Corden wants 'A League of Their Own' to continue for another 40 years.
The 'Gavin and Stacey' star is returning to host his eighth series of the Sky 1 sports show with team captains Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Jack Whitehall and he's revealed he wants it to follow in the footsteps of BBC One's 'A Question of Sport' by continuing to broadcast over four decades.
He said: "The show has come so far from where we started. It doesn't even feel like a sports panel show now, it's so much more than that.
"I hope it can carry on for years more. I'd love it if we did it for 40 years - it would be hilarious."
The 36-year-old funnyman - who will take over from Craig Ferguson on the 'Late, Late Show' in the US next year - claims it's his close friendship with the team captains that makes sports stars feel comfortable in coming on the show.
He explained to the Daily Star newspaper: "If anyone's going to look stupid, it's us! No-one's going to come on the show and get roasted.
"We all look stupid first, and that means that the sports people on the show feel very relaxed and start to enjoy it.
"And when they enjoy the show, the audience love it."
