Coronation Street's Alison King begs for more security
'Coronation Street' actress Alison King has asked bosses to up her security after an incident occurred with an "obsessed" fan at a public event.
'Coronation Street' star Alison King has asked for more security to protect her from an "obsessed" stalker.
The 41-year-old actress - who stars as Carla Barlow in the ITV soap - has reportedly begged bosses to provide her with more security after a woman confronted her at a public appearance, frantically shoving a sheaf of papers at her that were covered in scribbles of "bizarre ramblings".
A source told The Sun newspaper: "This woman is a regular at the show studio and often waits by the gates.
"She seems to be obsessed with Alison and has been repeatedly warned by police and our security staff to back away.
"Her behaviour has grown more intense and Alison is very distressed.
"The worry is the woman will find out where she lives."
The incident, which has left Alison "constantly looking over her shoulder", took place at the Southport Flower Show on Merseyside when the actress was chatting with fans.
An onlooker explained: "The woman was carrying a dossier of gushing ramblings and tried to push it into her hands. Security staff stepped in and it was all over very quickly, but Alison was visibly shaken.
"Alison wants all possible precautions taken."
