Michael Caine will appear in 'The Last Witch Hunter'.

'The Dark Knight Rises' actor is set to appear alongside 'Fast & Furious' star Vin Diesel in the upcoming supernatural action thriller, which will be directed by Breck Eisner.

Speaking during an interview with Collider for his new film 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Vin Diesel was asked what he had planned for the future and he replied: "I'm about to do a movie with Breck Eisner called 'The Last Witch Hunter' where I play a 700-year-old New Yorker, which should be a lot of fun.

"Working opposite Michael Caine will be a blast. I've always wanted to work with Michael Caine so it'll be the first time I get to work with Michael Caine."

Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie, who plays Ygritte in the HBO fantasy series, will also star in the film about a semi-immortal witch hunter (Diesel) who wanders the streets of a modern New York City before being forced to partner with his natural enemy, a female witch.

The unlikely pair team up to stop a villainous witch queen from obtaining a relic and unleashing a plague upon humanity and Leslie will take on the role of a witch and love interest of Diesel's character.

He added: "Rose Leslie is also gonna be opposite me, she's amazing in 'Game of Thrones'."

The 47-year-old actor will also produce alongside Mark Canton and Bernie Goldmann, while Samantha Vincent of One Race and Adam Goldworm are to be executive producers.

Caine last appeared in 'Mr. Morgan's Last Love' and will next be seen on the big screen in 'Eliza Graves' and 'Interstellar'.

Immortal witch-hunter Kaulder (Diesel) teams up with his overseer Dolan (Wood) and dreamwalker/witch Chloe (Leslie) to investigate the murder of Dolan's predecessor (Caine). A cheap Highlander / Hellboy knock-off that spends far too much time explaining its own backstory, not helped by a flat and unconvincing performance…
