Sarah-Jane Crawford to replace Caroline Flack on Xtra Factor?
Radio 1 DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford has reportedly been chosen to replace both Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson on 'The Xtra Factor'
Caroline Flack has reportedly been replaced by Sarah-Jane Crawford on 'The Xtra Factor'.
Following the 34-year-old presenter's Twitter announcement last night (11.06.14) that she was leaving the ITV2 spin-off show after three years, rumours are rife that Radio 1 DJ Sarah has been chosen to step into her shoes.
A show source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon Cowell has been bowled over by Sarah-Jane, he thinks she will be brilliant."
The radio journalist is expected to present the show solo, taking on both Caroline and her co-host Matt Richardson's former roles.
ITV bosses confirmed their joint departure in a statement, reading: "Caroline was a fantastic and enthusiastic host of the show and we will miss her hugely and wish her the best of luck and a big thank you to Matt for his hard work and humour."
Meanwhile, Sarah-Jane teased fans by revealing she had a big day's work ahead today (12.06.14) when she took to her Twitter account yesterday evening.
She wrote: "Right -1 Netflix ep and then I'm hitting the sack. Crazy day tomorrow."
The 29-year-old star also appeared to be taking great interest in the news that former Spice Girl Mel B would be joining Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on the 'X Factor' judging panel this autumn.
She posted earlier this week: "Get in @OfficialMelB for fourth judge."
