Mel B has reportedly signed a £1 million deal to be a judge on 'The X Factor.'
The former Spice Girls singer met with Simon Cowell two weeks ago and is said to have finally hashed out a contract to join him, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on the judging panel of the upcoming ITV series when auditions kick off in Manchester next Monday (16.06.14).
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Mel B was Simon's number one choice for the final place on the panel, he was really impressed when they met up and he likes her style and what she was saying she can bring to the show in their meeting.
"She is certainly not a shrinking violet and will say exactly what she thinks. She will stir things and be up for a laugh which is important.
"Cheryl knows Mel a little and whilst they are not best friends they are very different and she also believes Mel will work on the panel.
"Mel was Simon's choice but he did ask Cheryl's opinion and they both think she is a good choice."
Another source told The Sun newspaper: "Mel was the last piece of the jigsaw and now she's finally signed up."
The 'Viva Forever' hitmaker will earn £900,000 for her one-year contract and get an extra £100,000 for expenses and her wardrobe allowance.
ITV is expected to confirm the news later today (11.06.14).
The 39-year-old star is currently on the judging panel of 'America's Got Talent' and 'The Voice Kids' in Australia.
