Blake Harrison has revealed 'The Inbetweeners 2' sequel will be the "last one" in the series
Blake Harrison thinks 'The Inbetweeners 2' will mark the end of the series.
The 28-year-old actor reprises his role as schoolboy Neil Sutherland in the latest spin-off movie, which follows on from the hit E4 comedy series and the first film, and he's confessed that while he was excited to film the sequel, he thinks his and co-stars' - Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and James Buckley - characters are getting too old.
Quizzed on whether he enjoyed reprising the role, he told the Metro newspaper: "Who wouldn't want to film in Australia? That helped to decide. I think it will be the last one, though, that's the plan.
"The reason these characters work is because their energy is so young. The stuff they do entails teenagers being idiots. Getting into your twenties and being an idiot. No one wants to see that."
Although his latest role as twisted security guard, Roger, in the new drama 'Keeping Rosy' is a world away from teenage Neil, Blake admitted he found it easy to slip back into the schoolboy mindset.
He said: "It's like putting on an old pair of shows. When you've done it for so long, he's so familiar you can play a bit more with it.
He added: "I think all Neil ever wants is a laugh, he doesn't want anything cultured. Neil is all about girls and booze and having a laugh."
The Inbetweeners 2 will be released in cinemas throughout the UK on August 8.
