Rolf Harris' daughter considered suicide
Rolf Harris' daughter Bindi Nicholls has revealed how she considered suicide after discovering her father's illicit relationship with her friend
Rolf Harris' daughter considered suicide upon discovering his affair with her friend.
Bindi Nicholls told a court yesterday (02.06.14) of her "utter shock" when her pal confessed to having a consensual relationship with her father when she was 18.
She revealed: "She said, 'Well, it's been going on since I was 18 or 19, Bindi, it's been going on for ages.'
"The shock was just appalling... It was just horrible. It felt like the whole world had changed in an instant."
However, Bindi is adamant that her pal never told her Rolf, 84, had sexually abused her, as she claims in the ongoing court case.
The veteran TV star denies 12 counts of indecent assault against Bindi's friend and three other underage girls between 1968 and 1986.
Bindi, 50, blasted "sort of laughable" and "ridiculous" allegations her father had touched the woman inappropriately when she was 13, while Bindi slept in the same room.
Rolf's daughter also expressed her fears that her father and mother, Alwen Hughes, could die before the end of the trial because of the emotional impact it has had on the family.
She told the court: "My parents are 80-something. This is appalling for them. I'm frightened they're going to die in the middle of this court case."
