Salma Hayek will star in 'Sausage Party', opposite Seth Rogen who also help pen the script for the animation.

Salma Hayek will lend her voice to 'Sausage Party'.

The Oscar-nominated actress will play Teresa the Taco in the story which follows the titular sausage and his friends who fall out of a shopping cart as they journey through the supermarket to get back to their aisles before the Fourth of July sale, reports deadline.com.

The 47-year-old star will join an A-List voice cast including Seth Rogen - who also penned the script - James Franco, Michael Cera, Edward Norton, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, and David Krumholtz.

Rogen worked with his 'This is The End' co-director Evan Goldberg, as well as Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir on the screen play.

Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan will direct the film which is tipped for a 2015 release.

Hayek recently had a cameo in 'Muppets Most Wanted' which stars Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell.

The brunette beauty will next hit the big screen in 'How To Make Love Like An Englishman' and 'Everly'.

Frank (Rogen), a sausage, lives in a grocery store where he and his fellow foods excitedly look forward to life after being bought; but then he and hot-dog bun girlfriend Brenda (Wiig) learn the horrible truth. Rude, funny and unexpectedly profound, the best slice of adult animation since South Park.
