Ricky Gervais loved the "realism" while acting with the Muppets.
The 52-year-old star hits the big screen in the 'Muppets Most Wanted' alongside children's favourites Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the famous clan.
Gervais enjoyed working with them because unlike other films which require computer-generated imagery, like the 'Night In The Museum', the characters in this movie are visible while filming.
Talking at film's press conference at London's Soho Hotel today (25.03.14), Kermit said: "It's tough to choose someone fictional [to work with] because we're the only ones who aren't computer generated, you see, they're not really there."
Constantine - who plays the villain - added: "You couldn't see them at a press conference."
Gervais explained: "I've done 'Night In The Museum', just done three, Ben Stiller is in it a lot and he's in the scenes when all the animals come alive, but they're not really there. So, he spends six weeks running around talking to a tennis ball on a stick whereas with this, you're acting, you're acting with these guys! It's brilliant fun, but it also makes a difference with the timing and the realism and the affection for it. I mean it's real."
'Muppets Most Wanted', which is directed by James Bobin, follows the Muppets on tour in Europe where they unwillingly find themselves mixed in criminal behaviour.
