'The Voice' coach Ricky Wilson has given his female stars a dressing down after they continued to act as rivals and "obstacle" rather than as part of his group on the talent show

'The Voice' coach Ricky Wilson has told his female stars to start working as a team.

Although the Kaiser Chiefs front man knows his contestants are all battling to win the BBC singing competition, it is said he wants them to stop seeing each other as simply "obstacles that need to be smashed".

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, a source revealed: "The girls on Ricky's team are by far the most competitive and there has been a lot of bitching going on.

"They see each other as obstacles that need to be smashed out of the way. It began as a few snide remarks, but then the claws really came out ... A few days before the knockout rounds one singer was left in tears.

"That's when Ricky decided enough was enough. He told them it was fine to be competitive but they had to realise they were a team and the only chances they were scuppering were their own."

On tonight's show (16.03.13), viewers will see Christina Marie and Emily Adams showing much less of a union than the contestants on's team.

The insider added: "It was obvious they were willing each performer to fail.

"If looks could kill, there would have been some serious casualties. It's fair to say Ricky will be glad when he has just three acts left."
