Sinitta: Simon Cowell is 'proud' of The Jump
Sinitta says her close friend Simon Cowell is "proud" of her for signing up for Channel 4 reality competition 'The Jump'
Sinitta says Simon Cowell is "proud" of her signing up for 'The Jump'.
The 'Toy Boy' singer - who used to date the music mogul - is competing on Channel 4's new reality show where contestants will be coached in a number of different winter Olympics sports, and she claims the 'X Factor' boss is backing her after initially thinking she was "nuts" for taking part.
She explained: "When I first told Simon I was doing the show, he was like, 'You're nuts!' - especially as I've not really skied let alone ski-jumped! As I told him more about it he was wide-eyed with amazement, and now he says he's very proud of me to take on something so scary."
Sinitta insists her friends see her as a "chicken" since she avoided dangerous activities when she was younger as she was afraid of injuring herself.
She told Closer magazine: "It shows I'm less of a chicken because I was always so cautious growing up, as I was a dancer and I didn't want to risk breaking anything. Among my friends I'm known as being fit and sporty, but a scaredy cat - so I've crossed over into extreme and dangerous sports now."
