The Voice's Ricky Wilson given help with nerves
'The Voice' mentor Ricky Wilson has been struggled to adapt to being on TV and has relied on his fellow judges to help him overcome his nerves.
'The Voice' star Ricky Wilson has relied on his fellow judges to help him overcome stage fright.
The Kaiser Chiefs front man is said to have struggled to adapt to being on TV and is "really uncomfortable in front of the camera".
An insider told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "Ricky is coming across calm and collection on screen. But he is actually a bundle of nerves behind the scenes.
"Even though the blind auditions were pre-recorded and not live, Ricky still felt really uncomfortable in front of the camera."
However, while Ricky might not have the name value of his fellow judges, Kylie Minogue has been on hand to help him adjust.
The source said: "Ricky's nowhere near as famous as his fellow mentors and he knows it.
"Despite selling millions with his band he was terrified none of the acts would choose him and no-one would know who he was.
"Ricky also struggled adjusting to his first major TV role and was constantly being coached by Kylie and the producers.
"Ricky's girlfriend was also on set at all times to whisper words of encouragement and he often had to re-shoot bits to camera."
