Naomi Campbell refuses NTAs dressing room
Naomi Campbell has reportedly refused to use her allocated dressing room for the National Television Awards tonight (22.01.14) and insists on a plush hotel room instead.
Naomi Campbell has reportedly refused to use her allocated dressing room for the National Television Awards tonight (22.01.14).
'The Face' mentor and supermodel has insisted producers provide her with a luxury room at a nearby hotel to get ready in instead of one of the dressing rooms backstage at London's The O2 arena, where the prestigious awards ceremony will take place.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "What a palaver. Apparently Naomi wants something more luxurious so the team have had to scrabble around trying to find something suitable nearby.
"It's a surprise because the O2 dressing rooms are used to handling big stars with big demands. Jay Z's been a few times as has Rihanna. They hardly slum it.
"But it seems they're not up to scratch for a supermodel. Hopefully a five-star hotel nearby has some availability."
The 43-year-old supermodel is set to present the award for Best Talent Show after making the leap to TV herself by fronting Sky Living's modelling competition, 'The Face'.
The source added: "We're glad she's coming as she adds some A-list glam to proceedings, but it has not been the easiest thing in the world to organise."
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the NTAs insists "we are still organising arrangements for our talent".
The National Television Awards air tonight at 7:30pm on ITV.
